“Tell me, what are you doing in this town?” The bartender pulled down the pant leg, but still rested his hand against the side of Shoto’s knee, keeping his legs spread slightly to avoid the wounds from being pressed against each other.
The touch may have been tender, but Shoto still couldn’t help the slight burn of his cheeks as he gripped either end of the table chair. The man had been kind to him so far, this much Shoto could say. However, no amount of kindness from a stranger would ever bring him to divulge his mission so easily. Shoto remained silent on the issue, figuring his stubbornness would get the point across.
Unexpectedly, however, the bartender didn’t take his hand away, nor did he make any attempt to leave Shoto be. He simply stroked his thumb against the surface of Shoto’s knee and tried, once again, “Won’t you tell me your story?”
There is beauty in love; there is serenity in loyalty. These are two things that are constant. And yet when Shoto is sent to a rural town to exterminate the demonic presence that has taken refuge there, he finds that perhaps he's never actually known where his loyalties truly lie.

"I can't do it." Shoto seems as if he's had a revelation of sorts, and his body begins to tremble. He gets up and stands on unsteady feet, his arms wrapped around his shaking frame.'What the fuck?! Why can't I do it?!'
He’s bewildered and panicking.
"Can’t do it?” Vox echoes, peering up at Shoto in disbelief. “Can’t or 'won’t'? Isn’t this what you wanted? To rid the world of all demons?”
"Shut up. Get out of my head!" Shoto backs away from Vox and falls into a crouch, holding his head between his hands. It’s the question that’s been ailing him since the start: Isn’t this what he wanted? Why, then can’t he bring himself to kill Vox?

After a long day, what's better than going to a club, order some drinks and relax ?
A shit ton of things honestly, and none are within Shoto's reach this evening. What he wasn't expecting is to meet a strange demon whose voice does things to him. Now don't get it wrong, it's not his first time meeting or even sleeping with a demon, but it certainly is the first time he bonds so quickly with one. To the point where one might wonder whether he is under a spell...Or : the golden touch soulmate au the author's brain been rotting over for the past month.
