Christmas morning was as wonderful as they expected. Chan gave Felix a piggyback ride into the living room and sat him in front of the electric fireplace where he had hung their stockings the previous night. Felix’s eyes were as big as saucers and as shiny as glass while he giddily emptied the stocking of the gifts it contained. Chan did the same.
