Summary
“Tell you one thing,” says a friendly soldier helping you repair and replace barricades one afternoon. “I haven’t seen the general smile so much in ages.”
It makes your face heat for reasons you can’t fathom. “We defeated the Threnodian. Of course he’s smiling.”
The soldier chuckles. “Yeah. Sure. That’s probably it.”
(or, general jiyan’s the only one to witness the way havoc manifested in you during that fight. he keeps your secret—and if he continues being so damn lovely, he might keep your heart, too.)
