Summary
A mysterious plague threatens to destroy all life on Earth, spreading quickly and infecting plants and animals with deadly toxins. Layan, a young huntress from the Nora tribe must travel West to locate the source, in hopes of finding a cure. But on her journey across the uncharted lands of the Forbidden West, she encounters the fearsome Tenakth, whose raging civil war causes her mission to come to a standstill. As she helps Chief Hekarro end the war against Regalla and her rebels, Layan begins to find solace in their encounters, her heart growing fondly for the hardened leader. But her heart also beats for another, Kotallo, one of the Tenakth's remaining Marshalls. And as her journey continues further into the West, she must uncover the reason for Earth's imminent demise and decide who she will give her beating heart to, if she can give it at all...

Author's Note: This is a series of one shots based in a medieval/fantasy setting where Pope is the Prince of the Kingdom of Riven and Jonathan (JJ) is a knight that as sworn his loyalty and sword to the realm. These fics are not written in chronological order but once I realise that one goes before the other, I will change the order.
