But Master Altessa, who smoothed over her skin and threaded her hair, had always favored broken things. And still, he created, fashioning iron shapes from molds, and inscribing runes that helped her speak.
Looking over her newly-planted garden, perhaps she simply wanted to create and nurture, to bring things into being. Just as her Master did.

Summary
Colette caught onto Lloyd’s hands, how they reached out to her. That was when she saw the stars.
“Whoa… I didn’t know you could do this yet!” Lloyd, wide-eyed, looked down at where their palms touched. It was as if they had gathered a bundle of brightly colored star lights in their hands, like the ones she would have in her room, but without the string to wind it all together. The shine cast a mixture of violet and pink, falling over their arms, coloring their cheeks still damp with rain.
Everybody had a bit of magic in them... but when she and Lloyd were together, they made stars.
