    “You’re smirking. Is something funny?”

Wayne does often say Eddie’ll make a terrible poker player. No mystique, he’s often said, which made Eddie quietly stress for weeks afterwards that he’s accidentally been giving away the twists in his campaign with unconcealed facial expressions. Beleaguered, he has no choice but to be fully and completely honest with Steve, which, he’s found in their lengthening interactions lately, Steve does not like.

“I thought it was funny how you very carefully calculated how long of a stride you’d need to take to avoid that puddle.” Eddie answers, and Steve’s brows predictably furrow, the way they always do when he regards Eddie.

“And this is Edward Munson. Our resident rockstar who likes to sniff his way to Heaven, and very nearly got there.”

Or...Eddie is sent to New Havens Correctional following a drug related...accident. Whilst trying to recover and get a handle on his addictions, Eddie makes new friends and finds he is not the only one battling demons. Summary

He hesitates. “Don’t freak out, alright? It’s just that I may have gotten lightly stabbed in executing my escape plan.”

“Lightly stabbed,” Steve repeats incredulously. He pinches the bridge of his nose. “Jesus Christ, let me see.”

He grabs at the hem of Eddie’s t-shirt and pulls, and before he can even register the movement Eddie’s hand is around his wrist. His grip is tight but not painful. Eddie’s touches are never painful, even though they very well could be. Eddie has this unquantifiable and undetectable power within him, raw and buzzing below his skin, just waiting to be let out. He could snap Steve’s wrist clean in half if he wanted to and it probably wouldn’t take all that much effort, if any.

    He won’t, though.

    Eddie would never hurt him.
