Summary
In a world turned to a totalitarian matriarchy, women now have extraordinary abilities. Many want their pound of flesh, revenge, or to take what they are entitled to. Others pity what the world has become. All struggle with their newfound strength, knowing their dominance is unquestionable.
Men have few options now: work to death or become a consort for officers of the regime. Officers enjoy and abuse countless consorts, in countless ways. In a short time, a new society has been built upon fear and subjugating men. It doesn't matter who you were before, or what you believe in, men can't win. Fire and resistance remain in some, while it's snuffed out in others. Nearly all have horrible memories and crippling trauma from how the war and "the raids" crushed and degraded men's standing into nothing.
Whumptober 2023 prompts based within the ILF universe. (WE'RE REPOSTING HER) Different perspectives from different characters at different times. Not necessary to read this to follow ILF. (But it'd be a lot cooler if you did.) This can also be read concurrently with ILF, ISL, IFWS, IRWS if you’ve already started it.

Summary
Liam remembers almost nothing before the ridge. He knows that he dies screaming, again and again, but can't stay dead. Advisor Nikita keeps him in a constant loop of agony, misery, and death.
The regime is sadistic. They're never finished abusing Liam and making him suffer. He's a ridge resident, the lowest of the low. The women of the compound don't think of him as human. Cruelty toward men is expected and enjoyed in a world where the roles are roughly reversed.
Liam is a plaything for monsters. Mornings are for General Lin and Advisor Evans' excruciating experiments. Liam gets to be General Lee and her Bloodweavers' afternoon snack. At dusk, he's Advisor Alisha's entertainment for the evening. It. Never. Stops.
Liam is jealous of the other slaves in the compound—the ones who get treats, presents, warm baths, and love. He's practically forgotten what love is. He only remembers the bakery and yearns to make sweets for a girl who might... hold him.
Memories are funny. When he meets Anika again, the room is sweet, her touch intoxicating. If she could love him, he'd be saved. So she HAS to. Liam must convince Anika he's worth something, that he can be loved, or he'll spend eternity in a loop of torment.
