“We need to talk about this. And I don’t just mean you leaving” --Ren raises a hand, cutting off Akechi before he can finish opening his mouth-- “I mean everything.”
“It’s pointless. I’ve already told you as much.” Akechi rolls his eyes and digs a crumpled lens rag out of his pocket. “After I’m gone, none of those things will matter anymore. If you think that your usual brand of brainless sentimentality will work on me, then--”
Just then, as Akechi unfurls the glasses cleaning rag, something clatters to the ground between them. Their heads turn to follow the sound in unison, and both discover the source at the same time -- an incredibly smooth, thumb-sized rock.
They raise their eyes again, steel gray meeting dark auburn.
Akechi’s Adam’s apple bobs under the collar of his turtleneck. “...Please let me explain.”Sometimes, if a rock is smooth enough, it can drag a man out of hiding and force him into a secret shared custody agreement with the guy he's hiding from -- and what Yusuke doesn't know can't hurt him.

Summary
Ren was having a pretty productive day, all things considered.
Everything was falling into place. Ducks and rows and the former in the latter, that sort of thing.
Akechi was currently stewing in enough rage to make his cell start steaming, no doubt, and he was just about to add fuel to the fire. Ren had to actively fight a grin as he walked into the police station.
OR: It's a lovely day for an interrogation and Ren is a horrible little detective.

Summary
Left alone and abandoned with fractured bonds after the return to his home town, Akira Kurusu is tired.
He fought for Humanity, killed two gods and gave his all for his friends that can’t seem to spare a minute for him.
Falling deeper into a spiral he doesn’t realise what has happened until Arsene is before him to take him away so he can finally rest.
Goro Akechi is supposed to have died twice yet here he is again at the will of the universe to save his only friend? Partner? And apparently the Phantom Thieves cannot be trusted because of their betrayal in January.
Goro enlists Sumire’s help and together they will save him.
When the Phantom Thieves finally realise Akira is in danger can they admit to their mistakes or will they only jeopardise him further.

Summary
When their leader develops a Palace, the Phantom Thieves are forced to look for avenues through which to infiltrate and change his heart. This leads them to end up carrying out a completely different infiltration first; Goro Akechi's Palace.
(This is a rewrite of another fic I wrote, House of Cards. It is so different that I am posting the rewrite separately as it's own fic to preserve the original work.)

Summary
A chance encounter on Ren's first day in Tokyo manages to catch Akechi's eye. Akechi spots the metanav on Ren's phone that day and jumpstarts his confidant track. Who knew an umbrella could change so much?
In which Ren misses his chance at getting a persona at Kamoshida's palace, but it's another story when it comes to Mementos.
