Summary
William felt his heart begin to race like it once had as he sat upon a train bound for London, cornered and scrutinised by the most arresting gaze he’d ever met.
“Sometimes …” It took him aback how his voice became breathless, and suddenly it seemed like he was being dragged soul-first into the depths of those bottomless blue eyes. “I miss the games we used to play together.”
Sherlock’s brow twitched, as though he hadn’t been expecting such a revelation. He took another puff of his cigarette.
“ … what sort of game do you want to play now, Liam?”
It's William & Sherlock's first Christmas in New York. A particularly thoughtful gift is the catalyst for exploring buried feelings, and learning that some loves, regardless of time and place, will never change.

Sherlock stared at the scabbed skin beneath his right eye in the tarnished mirror of a New York hotel bathroom.
The reflection staring back at him looked gaunt; dead-eyed.
Even more dead-eyed than he’d managed to look in his entire 24 years, and that was a feat, to say the least.
He ran his thumb along the edge of the wound, already half healed, and he felt his gut twist.
It had been two weeks already.
Two weeks since they’d arrived on American soil, and Liam still had not woken up.
This is a story about grief and hope.
A story about the something between drowning and living; the story of a gentle breeze; the story of Sherlock Holme's first four months alone in New York City, before William woke up.

This fic is inspired by the Sherliam Week '23 prompt: Wound
Blood.
It was everywhere, suspended in a blur of curling tendrils and clouds like crimson cigarette smoke, and please god, let it be his own, this time.
Let the wound be his.
Let his hands be numb but cleansed, finally, in waters that would end his abhorrent life.
William closed his eyes and felt himself surrender to it once more.
And, just like every other time he’d found himself sinking, hopeless, dying …
Warmth embraced his face. There was light again, and a figure — that angelic image, haloed above him, and then contact at his lips —
Heat coursed through his chest, and he gasped raggedly against the mouth of a man whom he was — physically — little more than acquainted with, and yet — existentially — seemed stitched soul to soul.
Live. We both must live.

Summary
It's been two years since the incident on The Thames bridge.
William is very much alive, and still learning to navigate a new sort of existence with his flatmate, partner and best friend in New York City.
When a new case with The Pinkerton Detective Agency takes an unexpected turn, William's metal is put to the test. Freshly haunted by the demons of his past and still grappling with an answer to the question of his own atonement, he's forced to consider what it really means to take a life, and in doing so, he and Sherlock must finally confront the depths of their feelings for one another.

"If this case had come from Lestrade, Sherlock could have finished his sentence. He could've turned his back and waved the inspector away like the smoke from his cigarettes.
He couldn't do that here. He couldn't tell his superiors no. He couldn't say this is boring and wipe his hands clean of it."
There are differences between their lives in America and England. Sherlock struggles to adapt. William does his best to support him.

When Louis is introduced to Billy the Kid, his world becomes brighter and softer all at once. His thoughts become filled with poetry, and he takes a risk to allow his heart to bleed on the pages. Billy is all too keen to indulge when his own affection grows with every poem shared, every line read, every emotion drawn from the well between them.

Summary
William Moriarty, a forty-two years old author from London in the 1920s, travels to a small town called Bellbarrow, looking for lost inspiration a year after he publishes a huge project. But alongside that, he finds much more, finds the feeling that they call love. Perhaps it's in the form of the town's florist — the one with an intriguing personality and deep blue eyes.
William finds himself wanting to know Mister Holmes more than that, and in more ways possible.

Beside him, Billy shifts on his bedroll – which is next to Louis’ with no space left between them – and their knees bump. Louis’ heart flutters with the simple contact, but it jumps into his throat when he glances sideways at Billy, watching the light from the fire dance across his handsome face.
Their eyes meet, and Billy smiles – a soft, fond pull of full lips.
This.
This is a peace Louis never thought he would be able to experience.
Louis asks a question, and Billy makes a confession.
