Heizou, stuck on Watatsumi Island for his extended vacation, spots a set of brilliant red prayer beads for sale at an auction of seized and abandoned property held to benefit Watatsumi Army’s injured veterans’ fund. Following the advice of his instinct, he bids for them. Gorou seems surprised to see them in the auction at all – and dismayed at the final hammer price Heizou pays.
