Death has a peculiar way of acting, some would say.
The terror of the wizarding world is nothing more than shards, leftover fragments, of what was once a beautiful soul.
It was funny, for the first 100 years, seeing that 'Lord' all imposing lost in limbo, being prevented from getting on the train and moving on, bumping into other souls, being reduced to dust and returning to pieces, to see the parts of souls trying to come together but in the end break and separate, only to try again and again...
But it was no longer fun, in the end, he couldn't make him pay for the extra work until it was complete.
But Death had more plans for that soul... After all, why give a former megalomaniac a happy ending if he made you work so hard?

Reflecting on the events at Qiandeng Temple, Xie Lian longs for such intimacy again and reveals that to Hua Cheng. While Hua Cheng would never dream of turning him down, he coaxes the bashful Xie Lian to be explicit about what he wants and needs.
Or: Xie Lian is horny, vow-breakingly so. Hua Cheng seduces him into doing something about it.
