An explosive train ride. Yet another identity he must assume. This time, as an undercover agent.
"Your mission, that you have no choice but to accept, is to take care of children in Theorn Academy's Daycare."
Easy, he thought. Surely this coded message not only used a complicated cipher, but code words as well. Of course "daycare" meant prison, "children" meant war-hardened, seedy criminals, and of course "take care" meant... you know what.
Espionage. Assassination. Even torture. He was ready for it. Whoever it is they have to watch over, they sound like a security risk to the empire. Still, they’d be no match for him.
He promised that he’d do his mission well, even if this was just a borrowed identity. The risk was too high – these individuals absolutely cannot be left unsupervised.
For the good of the Empire. No, for the good of the world.
He was expecting normal human-sized criminals. He didn’t expect these… these actual munchkins sitting on their tiny little plastic tables and chairs looking up at him with their innocent, sparkly eyes.
Oh god.
This might be his hardest mission yet.
