The whispers— they were an alluring, charming thing; a purring, sultry tone that beckoned her with every syllable. She could hear it in her head, only sometimes, echoing within her own conscience. But despite how lovely it sounded, its presence was less than reassuring. Claire wasn’t sure if the cause was that she was just going crazy, or if something… less than desirable had slipped through the cracks of her Trollmarket portal escape and slithered into her mind.
