    Billy doesn't get the luxury of having many certainties in life. Billy's learnt to accept and expect that.

    One thing he does know for certain, is that he is absolutely not pregnant.

    Unfortunately, the Justice League doesn't know that.

    That time Billy convinced the League he was pregnant and it got way out of hand.

    “Captain, how are you feeling?” The concerned voice reverberated from a blue-clad man, wait, was that Superman?

     

    Was he kidnapped by a Superman cosplayer?

     

    His brain had snagged, but was rapidly prompted back into action as the caped man addressed him. Conclusively, he deduced this entire situation was a ploy by social services. They had, astonishingly, dressed up in flamboyant costumes to enrapture stray children and bedazzle them back into the system.

    And to epitomise the loathsome situation, the manipulative employees had already given him a pet name; ‘Captain.’ Shamelessly stoking a child’s ego wouldn’t persuade any of the other street kids he knew, and it was, frankly, incredibly embarrassing on their behalf.

    In lieu of a response to faux Superman, Billy remained silent, simply squinting in suspicious analysis.

    Wait, why's a seven-year-old, black-haired blue-eyed kid calling them social workers?

    In freshman year of high school, Danny pulled away from his friends without explanation.

    At sixteen, he disappeared. Sam and Tucker presumed him dead. His parents insisted he was taken by ghosts.

    As young adults, they run into him in Gotham, of all places. It's a stroke of luck that brings their best friend back to them.

    If only it was that easy for the Bats to find the god damn engineer that's been running circles around them while they try to track him down.

    Tim's not sure what he'll do first when he finally finds the brilliant bastard - kiss him or punch his teeth in.
