Summary
When the editor-in-chief of Mayfair Magazine insists that Penelope work with a new writer on her sex column, she wants to scream. When she finds out it’s Colin Bridgerton, she wants to murder something (or someone).
It’s been five years since she last spoke to him and a lot has changed. Penelope has changed. And she is not about to let him steal her column out from under her.
Especially not when he’s under her.

Summary
In a world where the marriage ritual leaves a permanent mark on you, the word that reflects your match’s first impression of you appears in your skin.
—•—
Penelope had known since she was eight years old who she would marry. She had heard stories about him, how brave and noble he was, and spent her whole life in love with the boy in the picture.
Something that had never crossed Penelope’s mind, however, was the possibility that Colin Bridgerton would be disappointed upon meeting her.
“Speak now, Penelope, with clarity and conviction. What is the word, bestowed upon you by the gentleman ordained as your match, that defines you in his eyes?”
The celebrant’s voice suddenly felt like a distant hum, her vision blurred by the tears welling up in her eyes. On her wrist, visible to anyone close enough to read it, was written her word with golden letters.
Shallow.

Summary
Colin ran a hand through his curls and gave a soft laugh. "Time travel, Pen," he said, as if it was the most ordinary thing in the world. "It's complicated, but the short version is that I pick up this pocket watch," he held up the gold pocket watch, "And it transports me to different points in time. In this case, I travel backwards. I stay in the time for 24 hours before I return to my own time."
Penelope stared at the pocket watch, her mind racing. She reached out to touch it, her fingers gently brushing against the cool metal.
"So...this watch allows you to travel through time?" she said, her voice filled with wonder.
Colin nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Precisely," he said. "And I've travelled back 15 years to prevent myself from making a grave mistake."
Penelope's eyes met his, her gaze full of questions. "What grave mistake?" she asked, fear in her voice.
Colin's smile faded slightly, and he took her hands in his. "I was going to marry Marina," he admitted, his voice soft but firm, "She's pregnant with another man's child, Pen. And she was going to pretend that the child was mine.”

Summary
27 year old, aspiring writer Penelope Featherington is looking for a new job — recently evicted from her flat and now staying at her best friend's house until she can figure out what to do next — Penelope decides she just needs something over the summer so she can save money. After a lot of failed job interviews, she ends up working for her best friend's older brother as a live-in nanny. What she didn’t anticipate was his grumpy attitude, cold demeanor, his lack of enthusiasm for his own work, and the fact that he can't seem to stop looking at her.
39 year old, single dad Colin Bridgerton is a father by day and a writer by night. His job getting more demanding and stressful because of the highly anticipated next installment of his book series, he decides that he needs a little help balancing his home and work life so he agrees to hire his sister’s friend Penelope Featherington as his live-in nanny. It was supposed to be a good opportunity for him to get the help he needed, to be able to fix his schedule, to get on track, but what he didn’t expect was the torture it was to want to kiss her every time she opened her smart mouth.
