And as the victor, Robert Baratheon was the one to hand down the punishment for those who fought against him. Chiefly, House Targaryen and House Tyrell. The daughters of both Houses would serve the punishment of their kin.
And so, by royal decree, Margaery Tyrell and Daenerys Targaryen were both betrothed to the Lord of Winterfell's base-born son, Jon Snow.

Summary
Jon Targaryen was never supposed to be King, yet the Fates have decided that he is.
After being fostered at Winterfell with his Mother, the estranged wife of the King Rhaegar, Jon traveled South after hearing of his betrothal to Myrcella Lannister. But before he entered the city, the Sept of Baelor went up in green flames.
Now King, Jon must navigate the viper's nest of King's Landing. It will not be easy, especially when a young and beautiful Lannister becomes his Queen.

Summary
My own personal take on A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin. Do with it as you will. Is a mixture of both book and show canon, with a fuckload of assumptions and alterations on my part. Written purely for my own entertainment.
Jaehaerys Targaryen was always an unruly and rebelious child too much like his parents, given to bouts of anger as well as a mind weighed with tragedy and melancholy. Fearing this anger being directed towards the realm and his family, Rhaegar Targaryen I, sent his son North to ward with his Mother's family in hopes that the Northern chill would soothe the Dragonfire and Wolf's Blood in his veins. But it's been 10 years since the young Prince left for the Northern shores of White Harbor and never arrived. After the ships mangled corpse was found along the Fingers on the Eastern coast of the Vale, stripped of crew and the prince. With no word of ransom, nor tale of his capture, all presumed him dead.
