Summary
An AU inspired by 'Just Took a Bit Longer to Find My Way Home' by Kingdom_Nerds, where Tom and Maddie actually go to San Francisco. Sonic, once he realizes this, has a mental breakdown (poor baby) and makes an even bigger explosion. He ends up not escaping from Eggman and gets tortured for 6 months :(
One day, he eventually escapes by running faster than the speed of sound, and ends up finding Tom and Maddie's house in California. Eggman, after quite a lot of family fluff (and angst), finds Sonic again and the whole world finds out about Sonic. The government lets the Wachowski go eventually.
This series is about what happens next :)
