“Yes,” Shawn replies, with that expectant solemnity that always makes it sound like he’s waiting for everyone else to catch up.
"Why?" she asks, confused.
“Because your ankle’s on vacation and your beautiful brain seems pretty scrambled. And, admittedly, because you are the approximate size and weight of a small bird.”
