It was so easy to hear those words when she was on the brink. “No,” Audrey said instinctively. Junia didn’t mean them. She didn’t mean the fleeting hurt in her eyes, either. Audrey was good with her hands, but she wasn’t going to flatter herself any further than that.

“Thought I was dreamin’, sire. You’d let us all take turns with you? Breeding you?”
When Reynauld doesn’t back down at that, the man whistles lowly. “You don’t know what you’re getting into, sire. We haven’t hit a town in months. The barracks at night are… well.”
He grins. “Do you really wanna find out?”
“Mmm. I-I wouldn’t mind. For the morale...”

"You're gonna love it," Stiles says, shuffling back to make room for Derek. The bed is much smaller than what Derek's used to: a full sized, instead of a queen. "The last Alpha I was with -" Stiles claps a hand over his mouth "- You know what? Forget I said that."
Derek gets comfortable on his stomach and rests his chin on his crossed arms. "I know you've been with other people," he says. "That doesn't bother me."
"Force of habit." The bed dips as Stiles leans over and grabs something from his bedside table. "Besides, I shouldn't assume. Ha, get it? Assume?"
"You really think you're funny, don't you?"
Stiles laughs. "I'm the funniest person you know, admit it."
