It’s chilly enough outside the bar that Mu Qing regrets not wearing a jacket; he folds his arms in front of his chest as he stands close to Feng Xin, leaning over his phone’s screen as he pulls up the ride sharing app. He’s close enough to see the fine stitching on the lapel of Feng Xin’s jacket, and close enough to catch the faint trace of a floral cologne clinging to him.
Feng Xin hesitates with the app open rather than typing a destination address.
“If you want,” he says after a second, “you could come back to my place.”

Mu Qing is starting a new job, and takes his mind off the stress via a one night stand with a handsome man he meets at a bar. He doesn't expect to meet him again at work the next day.

Summary
Xie Lian has friends. He does — genuinely so. He has Hua Cheng of course. He has Mu Qing and Feng Xin after a long overdue reconciliation. He has Shi Qingxuan. There’s a myriad of heavenly officials he's come to enjoy the company of ranging from his former pupil Lang Qian Qiu to Hua Cheng’s “assistant” Yin Yu. But besides Xie Lian’s hesitancy to ask for anything ever, there’s certain topics of conversation he isn’t quite… comfortable bringing up with them.
So there’s one person Xie Lian can possibly talk to when it comes to matters of the… bedroom, he’ll say.
This is how he finds himself in Pei Ming’s armory trying to figure out how to ask the Martial God of the North how to fuck his husband.

Summary
Xie Lian has suspected for a while now that he might be Hua Cheng's beloved, but he can hardly just go and ask Hua Cheng if that's the case, right?
Instead, he books a cabin by a lake for Christmas, in the hopes that the cosy atmosphere will lead to some romantic confessions and his own happy ending.

The silly Christmas movie is still playing, but Xie Lian can’t hear it, too attuned to the heavy, steady breaths coming from Hua Cheng, the pink that dusts across his cheeks, and that look of sweet adoration mixed with a little terror in his eyes. He still hasn’t looked away, and Xie Lian feels like they’re on the edge of something beautiful and new.
And then the tension snaps.
