Summary

This is a time-traveling love story; Gwen is from the 21st century and Miles is from the prohibition era. “I didn’t mean to hit you with the door.”
When I find nothing to reply with, I turn to my default settings. Being an asshole.
“Watch it next time, wench,” I mumble. My permanent scowl remains on my face, feigning boredom. On the outside, I’m a mask of complete indifference.
On the inside? I’m freaking the fuck out.
Her beautiful ocean orbs widen and her shock is palpable.
Then she really surprises me.
Plump lips twist into a sneer while she crosses her arms over her chest. I swallow the groan rising in my chest as her arms push her tits up.
“It’s Kagome. Ka-go-me. Not wench.” She speaks low and enunciates every word like I’m a toddler. Her cheeks burn with anger.
It’s the sexiest fucking thing I’ve ever seen.
A voice deep within speaks to me, paralyzing the blood in my veins.
"Mate.”

Summary
Inuyasha is a troubled UFC fighter, who has quickly found comfort in the lap of luxury. However, his temper had landed him in trouble numerous times already in his short career. Lately, his publicist Miroku has had enough of his self-destructive ways. Exasperated, Miroku has decided it's best for Inuyasha to enter a public relationship, in an attempt to soften his public image. Enter Kagome Higurashi, a barista who works at a cafe a few blocks away from Inuyasha's flashy Manhattan apartment. Tempers and frustrations fly as Kagome and Inuyasha struggle in adjusting to a loveless relationship, but will time change that?
Story is rated E for graphic depictions of violence, and blood as well as references and chapters referring to alcoholism/addiction, depression and suicidal thoughts and frequent bad language/cursing.
