Summary
While hummingbirds can be devoted to their family, particularly their young, they are known to be both highly aggressive and anti-social. They are the only birds able to fly backwards and even upside down.
Tim's mission has never been the same as the rest of the Bats. He knows he doesn't fight for justice, or peace, or control, or proving something. He doesn't have Dick's goodwill or Damians need to prove something. He doesn't have Jason's connection or Oracle's duty. Hell, he doesn't even have Bruce's own mission in mind when he fights. He fights because he protects what is his, and he has dug his claws into this family. Except, maybe he's not theirs anymore, maybe he never was.
Or: Tim realizes he's lost everything he has never had, then gets sucked 20 years into the past by the creepy old guy and decides to pull everything together, including himelf.

But Jayce is once again distracted - because Viktor is beautiful beneath him. His high cheekbones, molten gold eyes, dark hair fanning around his head like a halo. He has an odd expression on his face and turns his head away, avoiding Jayce’s eyes.
It is with a trance-like reverence that Jayce pulls Viktor’s hands towards him, kisses the inside of his wrists, eliciting the smallest gasp from his partner. Kneeling over him, it is an act of worship.
A great pit of want opens his stomach, a hunger so deep he wonders if it was always there.

Summary
It's not entirely unexpected when nobody responds to Red Robin's emergency beacon. He knew he was expendable. He stopped being a real part of the family a long time ago. But he'd still hoped. That's why when Batman showed up and promised him that He'd be okay, he believed him. But it doesn't take long to realize that this Batman isn't his. Now, after traveling back with this new Batman, Tim has to learn how to live in a universe that cares.
TLDR: Tim gets rescued by Bruce from the YJ universe and he isn't used to people caring about his existence.
This is a TimKon fic but I also have no self control so a lot of background relationships.
