“Do you have so little faith in me?” Young-il asks, pulling that hand to his lips to brush a soft kiss across the knuckles. The little action is innocent, but the look in Young-il’s eyes is anything but. “Must I remind you again, Gi-hun?”
His other hand snakes forward to land on Gi-hun’s hip, fingertips digging into the skin, and pulls him forward until he is straddling the thick swell of Young-il’s thigh. “I won’t let anyone kill you.” The words are a furious whisper, a promise, a threat.
