Good Ben. Nice Ben. Ghost Ben. ‘I miss you, you asshole,’ he whispers every day. Usually around breakfast. “Everybody loves waffles.”
“Waffles? I hate waffles.” Mean Ben, obviously. He hates everything. Except maybe sometimes he feels less hate for Klaus than everybody else, but only when there’s alcohol involved, and Ben’s not much of a drinker.

Summary
The tentative peace between the Hargreeves siblings and their father is disrupted when Klaus returns from an unexplained trip to the afterlife with his powers restored. In the ensuing struggle, Klaus could be Five’s greatest advantage, which turns him into Reginald’s number one target.
Hargreeves now remembers both his lifetimes, after all, and he is keenly aware that the most overlooked aspect of Klaus’ abilities could lead to his downfall.

"Two days," Steve repeats. His words are slow and almost gentle, and there's a small smile starting to form on his face again. "I'm asking you to let me stay here for two days."
Bucky frowns.
"What? Why?" Bucky asks. "What the hell is that gonna do?"
"Remind you what it's like not to be alone," Steve says. His smile looks sad when adds, "because it's been a long time since you weren't."
"That's not gonna change anything," Bucky says, swallowing hard. Steve's words bounce around in his brain. It feels like they're hitting up against spots he hasn't uncovered yet.
"Then you've got nothing to lose," Steve says, raising an eyebrow. "Right?"
(Or: Steve finds Bucky in Bucharest before the events of Captain America: Civil War. They work a few things out.)
