Summary
This is so chaotic.
There’s too much going on, and Loki tries to figure out if he should make a run for it or not when the silver case that was in Kevlar Man’s hand slides across the floor following his fly across the room, clatters to the ground, and tips open, spewing its contents out onto the tile.
The Tesseract rolls away and stops just a few feet from Loki. He stares down at it for a long second. It’s close enough that if he moved to the side, he could easily bend over and grab it. He looks up to make sure no one is watching him.
But they are, there is someone staring directly at him, and Loki’s blood runs cold.——
Loki keeps seeing things. Thanos never left his head, and the voices and images grow until they become deafening.

Death didn’t hurt this much.Carol Danvers decides to make a pit stop on a week-old shipwreck from before the Snap. She’s tugging along Tony Stark and Nebula, who are telling her very little about what happened or why the universe just got turned half into dust.
They find a body (well, many bodies) that sticks out to Tony and he pulls the ship aside to scoop a (presumably) dead Loki from the vacuum of space.Loki didn’t think he was dead.
But he’s too weak to argue. -

After a moment, he carefully puts one hand up to his face and wipes at his brow, which feels uncomfortably warm. “I do not feel very well,” He declares, and sways.
Immediately Jayce moves forward, his blood running cold, and puts an arm on Viktor’s to stabilize him. “Viktor? What’s going on?”
Viktor’s already shaking his head, and he mumbles something incoherent under his breath, pulling away from Jayce and dazedly trying to step back. “I might…I might sit down.” He says it so weakly, so matter-of-fact, that Jayce doesn’t realize the implications until Viktor stumbles, his fingers momentarily tightening on Jayce’s forearm.———
So I have never seen or played Arcane, actually. I wrote this as a gift for a friend, after she gave me a raging review of season 2 and I was like “hold up, this guy Vik has a terminal illness and we’re just supposed to be chill with that? Cause that guy Jake or whatever his name was is way too chill about it” and then I watched a bunch of videos and realized that Jake was not at all chill about it, and was totally gay for the steampunk science twink.

There’s a moment of strange realization that flickers in Steve’s eyes. “Trust me,” He says, and before Bucky can react, he flips him around so Bucky is pressed against the wall, and kisses him fully on the mouth.—————

Then the door opened, and he walked in.
Tall, lean, and self-assured in a way that made the room feel smaller. His long black hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail, and his sharp cheekbones caught the light like they were sculpted out of marble. The thick, knitted, black jumper he wore gave him an air of drama. He looked like he ordered really expensive coffee and had an organized laptop screen. He also looked…well…hmm.
Steve had been expecting a professional, someone detached. What he got was one of the prettiest people he had every seen in his life. Fuck Aphrodite. He was already in Olympus.OR:

“It does not exactly feel like a… Safe place.”
“I made sure it is safe,” Jayce replied with soft determination, shifting. Viktor automatically scooted over a little, intuiting what his intentions were, and Jayce dutifully sat down on the mattress.
And Viktor couldn’t help the soft gasp coming out of his mouth the moment the rest of Jayce was hit by the faint, weak light.
He looked, frankly, like hell. There was a gauntness to his marble-chiseled features Viktor had never seen before; his hair was long, shaggy, as was his beard, heavily framing the taut line of his mouth pressed together in clear exhaustion.
Viktor blinked repeatedly as their eyes met. There was an abyss previously unknown in Jayce’s amber eyes, a sort of keen, smothered pain simmering in the depths of them as he quietly stared at Viktor.
“...For how long have I been unconscious?”

The passage of time should be left well alone, yet it is not. And it might just be the last push toward oblivion.
