“Doctor,” Dan said, exasperated. “Of course it is. I just can’t see why you refuse to do anything about it.”
When Yaz is abducted on an alien planet, the Doctor and Dan hurry to rescue her. As long as Dan stops trying to tell the Doctor to face her feelings, she can avoid any unnecessary complications - but saving Yaz might require confessing more than she ever intended.

Summary
Mid "The Maze of Doom" (a Doctor Who novel you all should read), we find the fam needing to put on fancy dress to infiltrate a ball. The licensed, published novel includes possibly the gayest Thasmin scene to date. This is what came just before that. (AU in the sense that I choose to ignore this sad canon Thasmin situation in favor of "they've been fucking for years, your honor", but in my day we just called that "fanfiction".)
Essentially a pwp with a few references to the rest of the book. Some oblique (non-plot spoilery) context for references made in the fic is given in author's notes at the beginning.

Summary
Mostly re-writing a bunch of canon scenes with an eye to making a happy Thasmin endgame, diverging from canon at the end of "The Timeless Children". Skips any plot that doesn't get affected by Thasmin, so this is best enjoyed if you already have a good working knowledge of "The Timeless Children" up to "The Power of the Doctor" the 60th Specials.
Also has new, original scenes added for flavour relationship-building.
Very little original plot, mostly an exercise in "give me sci-fi lesbians who actually get to enjoy a relationship"

Summary
