La nostra storia inizia a villa Malfoy, dove tutta la 3° generazione ( i primi della 4°) era riunita per festeggiare il compleanno della secondogenita Malfoy. Per l'occasione a tutti i genitori e i nonni era stato vietato l'accesso alla dimora. Era tardo pomeriggio e dopo tutto il divertimento con musica, cibo e giochi adatti a tutte le età, era ora per la festeggiata di spegnere le sue 21 candeline. Radunati tutti intorno alla ragazza a cantare "tanti auguri" nessuno si accorse che un piccolo monello, in braccio alla propria mamma, stava prestando tutta la sua piccola attenzione alla catenina della sua mamma, catenina con un ornamento molto strano. Quasi al termine della canzoncina, la catenina si spezza, cadendo a terra. Ciò causò la rottura dell'ornamento che, tra lo shock, urla e paura, generò un'enorme nube bianca/grigia luminosa che circondo tutti i presenti della stanza. Il tutto ovviamente mentre quel bambino monello se la rideva di gusto. E quando di urla non se ne sentivano più, la nube spari e nella stanza vi rimase solo una torta con le sue 21 candeline ancora accese.
