Summary
Yharnam was never a friendly place, but it seemed to get worse every year, even for the people living in it. Another outbreak of the blood plague had the Healing Church occupied, and anyone who could not hunt kept their head down. You could maybe venture out, in the daylight - but not after dark, and not on the days of the hunt.
In the middle of all of this is Anastas, sixteen, sickly, and not especially talented. His older sister and only family, a Hunter for the church, has gone missing.
… So against all advice Anastas is talking to strange hunters and considering going out of doors, of course. If his sister wanted him safe, she should have been around to keep him so.

Summary
A few streets away from the temple (derelict since the regime change), cramped between buildings old enough to predate his grandfather, there was a shopfront with Apothecary writ on the sign in faded paint. The pharmacist in residence: a nominal shinobi, inactive duty, and a local curiosity for the simple fact of having survived so long. Kisame might have gone on ignoring that curiosity, if personal circumstance hadn’t shifted enough to make poison a necessity.

Summary
As it turned out, Ascelin (and Anastas, but mostly Ascelin) was not the kind of problem most people were used to dealing with, before or after involving the Healing Blood. Konoha's military was designed to handle things like invasions and assassins, less so bored Choir Scholars with distressingly Kirigakure flavoured tendencies.
Luckily Konoha had one Kiri expat willing to act as cultural translator (as long as it was sufficiently amusing, and paid on time) and three genin who did not have a choice in the matter of guard duty. So, two Yharnamites with at least mild delusions of finding a way home try to navigate the culture shock of being dropped into a ninja village; in turn, four village residents are repeatedly subjected to casual horror from their guests. Prisoners? Escort-mission? Whatever one called the people they were paid to guard.
Locking a Hunter, a blood addict, and three ninja trainees in an apartment along with a bored jounin is a good idea with no draw-backs, surely.

Summary
“He didn’t mean to lose himself, though it must have been rare that anyone did.
Or maybe he did mean it. Maybe — soaked in blood and close to breaking and thinking that, really, there must be anything besides this — maybe he had decided better lost than this, and cast himself into the sea. Memory was murky.
What he remembered, was: blood on his hands. What he remembered was: his teacher, taking a bag of coin, smiling like a secret.
…
And then he was in strange country, wandering in a moonless night. And then he was staggering toward the scent of flame. And then — and then — the sea rushed in, and he had enough about him to think that it shouldn’t have been so, but no pain had released him from genjutsu’s grip and when he called on his summons they answered and still when he turned around he wasn’t in any forested country at all, but somewhere deep, deep below the crashing waves of the stormy Eastern Sea.”(Or, Kisame wanders somewhere a little farther than he set out for, and tries to determine where that is and where to go from there. The gods are sympathetic, but try telling that to a resident of Kiri.)

Summary
Letho needed a wardrobe to match his change of vocation. Laurence recommended him a tailor in the midtown, which saved a bit of hassle. Letho just needed to follow the directions and... let the guy pick whatever was appropriate for his station. Right, that seemed sensible. Couldn't be too much of a hassle. He'd had to have his Confessor's kit tailored, and surely that much couldn't be different between Caelid and Leyndell.
He thought that, and then he got to the tailor's shop.
[Mare's nest side story. Slice of life, not particularly plotty. Letho tries to exist in the face of adversity (judgmental craftsmen, Laurence.)]Major spoilers for Mare's Nest up to chapter 18

So that’s it. The way out. My win condition – work my way into the Akatsuki, and use the existing distrust to bring the organisation down from the inside.
Shikamaru clenched his fists – the right one around the canteen, the left one somewhere in the bandages.
Bring it down. Bring it all down.
Even if it comes down on my head.Shikamaru is abducted by Kakuzu and forced to take Hidan’s place in the Akatsuki. Unable to escape, he plans to bring down the organisation from within.

Summary
“Is that what they’re calling it in your village?” Tobi asked. “Do you have a youthful time with your comrade, when you’re tenderly kissing under the moonlight?”
--
Out of everything Obito put aside in his quest to end this world and escape into the Infinite Tsukiyomi, even after every other much more horrible thing that happened to him, he's still a little bit minorly fucking irritated that Might Gai never paid him any attention or remembered his goddamn face when they were kids.So my concept is: what if this boy you maybe used to have a belligerent bisexual crush on before you were buried alive, trapped in a hole, destroyed emotionally, and became a terrorist, grew up STUPID hot actually and is weirdly nice about letting you pretend to be a human person around him? Hm, maybe that could have consequences.

Summary
“Get him addicted to my hole” is an insane seduction strategy typical of a man who is constitutionally incapable of expressing vulnerability and also doesn’t know how to talk to people. Of course he would prefer that to actually confessing.
Kakashi gets his rival a gift, and that gift is... well, okay, so it's a forbidden-jutsu fleshlight basically.
