By all accounts, Spike should have died there. Julia was gone, he had nothing to live for and nothing to lose. Now that his survival hangs in the balance, will he live, at least long enough for the scattered members of the Bebop crew to see him one last time? Who knows, it's out of his control now. Whatever happens, happens.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD: An anxiety disorder characterized by symptoms such as Intrusive Thoughts (flashbacks, etc.), Avoidance, Hypervigilance, Sleep Disturbances, Negative Emotions (depression, aggression, etc.), Cognitive Difficulties and various Physical Symptoms. It is often developed after a sudden traumatic event. Its sister diagnosis, Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, C-PTSD, is noticeably triggered after multiple, oftentimes consecutive traumatic events instead.
It's at the tippy top of Spike Spiegel's medical history, along with everything else. And, if you ask him, it's utter bullshit. He doesn't have either. Except, he does. He sure does.Series
