“They’re not paying me anything.”
Punz almost never did anything without the promise of monetary rewards.
“Money is irrelevant right now. I’m not being rewarded or penalized regardless of what happens.” Punz’s voice was collected, and cold in the emotionless drawl Dream had long gotten used to. The mercenary wasn’t someone to wear his heart on his sleeves, and even at the height of their partnership, Dream had rarely known what the other was thinking.
The crease of his brow was wrinkled slightly, but there was almost nothing readable. An impenetrable wall that Dream himself could not crack. That he couldn’t read. Dream had never been able to hold the same emotionless resolve, he’d needed a physical mask for that.
Maybe Punz had always been colder than him.
Maybe the mercenary had achieved what Dream had long since failed to. No attachments, no cares. Nothing.
Or, the au where Punz genuinely betrayed Dream in the attachment room and they're both left to pick up the pieces of Pandora's Vault.

With a heavy sigh, Sam ran a hand over his face. He had mentioned to Dream that this was meant to be his night off. Was.
“I’m calling the station.” Sam said finally. “Everyone go back to the ballroom and stay there until they arrive.”

Summary
Hidden in the narrow streets of Bonesborough, there was a Bakery, enticing passing witches, ghouls and goblins to wander in for a delicious snack. A well known gem among the locals, it was passed down from mother to daughter, all of whom were Oracles in trade, but chose the life of pastries.
And as the current owner of the Oracle Bakery, there were some unique challenges Selena Fortuna had to face.
Like the Emperor of the Boiling Isles developing a sweet tooth for human pastries she specialised in.
