Friendship called for milled magnesia, and romance… No, it was certainly not about romance, so there was no need for liquefied terror. “What is your question?”{ Sonetto asks Matilda to perform a spell to reveal her future with Vertin. Things take an odd turn. }

Summary
Without warning, Vertin found herself thrown to the ground, face pressed into the cold dirt. It happened so quickly, faster than she could blink.
Her shoulder creaked as it was pinned painfully behind her back. Sonetto was kneeling on top of her, one leg firmly planted on the ground.
From the corner of Vertin's eye, she could see blood. Sonetto’s gray dress shoe already stained dark, a small but steady stream ran down from her leg and into the earth.

Summary
Vertin struggles with the internal conflict between her Timekeeper persona and her desires. Then the source of her conflicts visits her in the middle of the night. Vertin tries to put aside her feelings to help a spooked Sonetto. Meanwhile, Sonetto embraces the feelings she has toward Vertin.
(This is a lot of fluff. Sonetto will always be puppy. Vertin is more of a cheeky Carbuncle.)

Everyone was well familiar with how the famous foundation doctor usually acted. Gentle, composed, calm, understading. There was not a single soul who saw Tooth Fairy loosing her temper.
Which means, the way she acts isn't something exclusive to Madam Z, she tries to convince herself. But convincing her feelings is a completely different issue.
