Summary
After finding Ron cheating with an unknown woman, Hermione runs away from their shared flat. Only, that woman is now dead, Ron is on the hook for murder, and Hermione is forced into house arrest for her own safety. The kicker? Auror Draco Malfoy is the lead investigator on the case. Hermione finds that she needs to put her fate into the shockingly capable hands of a certain childhood nemesis of hers. And Malfoy is proving himself to be... nothing like how she expected.
Draco has crafted a life for himself. After his father was sentenced to Azkaban, Draco was accepted into a reform program after the war and has become an auror despite it all. With the head of the DMLE breathing down his neck, he is determined to do whatever needs to be done to climb the ranks. So if that means he must become the glorified babysitter to Hermione Granger, then so be it. But... she's been through a lot since the war, and her spirit is admirable. Not to mention she's always been one of the most beautiful women Draco's ever met.
