Okay, so maybe coming to the interview with a few broken ribs was a bad idea, but what choice did he have? Just not come and keep on being unemployed?
Several bad things could happen during his interview, given the circumstances. There was an AI in the building designed by Vulcan which not only kept unwanted people from getting in, it scanned people for any unauthorized weapons or injuries. There was also the problem with his illegal documents since he wasn't an actual adult. But the biggest risk is that the job is at a hero organization.
And he's a vigilante. Which are highly illegal.

Summary
Purpled was a Lorekeeper - not that he knew that until Philza came crashing into his life and dragged him back to the tower. Now the man was leaving him with his children for 6 days - and he prayed thinsg would stay simple.
But when an accident occurs and three folktales are released into the world - the trio must work together to put them back where they belong before Philza comes home.
Purpled just has to do as he's told, and make it out of this alive.
Oh, and to try not to become too attached, they aren't his siblings after all

Summary
Purpled’s never been offered a tour straight-out by a target before. In fact, Purpled had never been greeted by a target, or had his comfort concerned over by a target. Normally he just shot them or stabbed them and moved on. But this was a special case. He could take his time, scout it out.
“Yeah, I’d like a tour.” He says.
“Sure! Right this way. Here is the-“ Puffy starts the tour immediately, and Purpled follows along, marking exits and entrances, looking to see what windows have locks and what windows don’t, and what rooms Puffy skipped over showing him. It wasn’t very many, which made Purpled highly on-guard for how easily Puffy trusted him. She had to suspect something, right? But what? He’d just came to her therapy office and asked-
Oh. She thought he wanted therapy.
OR
Purpled tries to be a good mercenary, but ends up getting therapy instead.
