    The first time they meet, the blonde stumbles into the coffee shop, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, with a school bag slung over his shoulder and the brightest smile he’s ever seen. He smiles at Wolfwood—as bright as the goddamn sun—and asks for the sweetest, most disgusting drink he’s ever heard of in his life.

    “Caramel Macchiato with six pumps of vanilla!”

    He doesn’t ask for the man’s name. Instead, he simply shakes his head, makes the drink, and writes ‘Blondie’ on the cup.

    Or: In another world, Vash and Wolfwood meet under the most normal circumstances ever. But there are forces at work that are anything but normal, threatening to tear them apart. Against everything, there is something trying to hold them together, if only they can figure out where to look. [Completed!]

    Wolfwood wakes to the sound of bells.

    When he is lifted from the tomb, broken marble pushed unceremoniously aside by the only man this side of Octovern who could make it look easy, it is only the way that he flinches instinctively away from the sunlight that convinces the gathering crowd that he isn’t still dead. One head towers above the rest, face painted with something nameless, horror and elation crashing together at once as he stares into the grave.

    “Let’s bring him home, Livio.”
