In a superhuman society like ours, quirks are everything. They determine status and your path in life. Whether you take the path of a gardener or a top notch hero. Quirks are what define us. And although it is rare and barely heard of, some are not born with a quirk. They are considered the lowest of the low. Bullied into committing suicide 7 times out of 10. Most quirkless people don’t even live up to the age of 19.
So imagine Izuku’s distress when at the ripe age of four, his quirk is yet to show itself. Not because he can’t figure out what it is but rather that he doesn’t have one to begin with. So as he faces the discrimination of his peers and the outside world, he can at least take refuge in the loving arms of his parents right?

“Iwa–chan.” Oikawa shuffled closer to Iwaizumi with an excited glint in his eyes. “Do you know about bitching?”
Iwaizumi’s anger was replaced by surprise, followed by mortification. A subtle blush appeared on his ears.
“Bitching…?” Iwaizumi muttered, unsure if he heard that right.

Oikawa desired to be an omega his whole life. When he presented as an alpha instead, his hopes were shattered and he felt like a stranger in his own body. After years of fighting his inner instincts, he was offered a solution to his problem. This was something he couldn’t start on his own however.

But Kuroo would say that angering a god is the perfect way to get a chance of marrying one, if done right, of course.
