Set in modern day 2024 USA. Mary and Francis are the children of very wealthy politicians, their families have sought to solidify their political power by encouraging their two children into a relationship since they were teens. Both dated each other through high-school and college but Francis was hesitant to propose to her. After college Mary traveled abroad for two years with very little contact with her family and friends she left behind. Now she is back, but what happens when she is reunited with Francis? Will all be as it was before? -

Inspired by the song "You Set My World On Fire" by Nate Smith. This is my first fanfic ever! I watched through reign for the first time this year and really felt they did Mary and Bash an injustice, I really don't like Frary and thought Bash and Mary really truly loved each other and deserve a happy ending.
