He nodded, looking her straight in the eye. “C’mere,” he pulled his hands away from hers and wrapped his arms around hers as she stepped into his embrace.
Her arms went around his waist, and her chin rested on his shoulder. She sighed into his arms, this was definitely what she needed today. She closed her eyes, knowing she was safe. She had to ask him something, something stupid, something she asked him before.
“I just— I can’t help wondering, If just one thing had been different, would everything be different now?” She finally got out. She didn’t know if she actually wanted an answer to that question or not.
Continuation of my fic, ‘So I’m never gonna dance again, the way I dance with you.’ Made a new work, and put them both in a series so that part 1 can be read as a stand alone, AND as part of the series.

This series is of an alternate reality where Sam actually married Pete. The first part is of the wedding, and the second part is based a year later, and Sam and Pete are getting a divorce.
The reason I’ve made this a series instead of just adding chapters onto ‘So I’m never gonna dance again, the way I dance with you.’ Is because I really liked that fic, I liked the ending, (even though I’m a diehard S/J shipper) and I wanted to keep it so that could be the end, or you can read the next part and get the happy ending.
