The most gorgeous man Alex has ever seen just walked up to the table and introduced himself as Henry.
Alex was expecting someone named Henry to join them. He wasn’t expecting Henry to be this attractive. Or older. Or wearing a full suit on a Saturday night.
To be fair, Alex has only just met Pez, who June met and she and Nora hit it off with when June did a profile on Pez and the philanthropy work he does for HFMW, this huge luxury goods conglomerate. Alex has only just now put together that ‘Pez’s mate Henry’ is Mr. HFMW himself.

Alex blinked. After two weeks of hearing nothing but the voices of snooty men and frazzled secretaries calling in, the person on the other line now sounded decidedly neither snooty nor male nor in any way adult.
It was a little girl.
"Mr. Fox-Mountchristen's unfortunately in a meeting right now,” Alex began slowly, “but I could take a message?"
"Oh." The girl paused. "You're not Mr. Hunter."
Alex starts a new job as Henry's new assistant. Henry's daughter keeps calling the office and leaving him messages.

"He was asking for an extension."
"Scandalous," she says drily, and he rolls his eyes, stealing the umbrella from her mocktail and wondering whether or not he could use it to end his misery.
"He... addressed me in a fairly comical way. It was quite rude, but apparently unintentional. We've all been there."
Pez nods solemnly. "I once called my tutor 'Carrie' when in fact her name was 'Carey'. Incredibly embarrassing. I couldn't look her in the eye for a week."
"Er, yes," Henry says haltingly. "Yes, just like that."
