Summary
Bill is sure that Ford will get over their little spat during Weirdmeggedon. He just needs to remind Ford of how great they were together. But he had 30 years to cool off from their first fight and only a year this time, so it would take a lot more effort to speed up the process. His new portal wasn't going to build itself.
Ford knows that Bills intentions were all but pure, but he also knows that he is far too experienced to fall for Bills honeyed lies again. Plus Bill may be indisputable proof that The Axolotl was real and that discovery was incredibly enticing.
Mabel wants in on a great love story.
Dipper wants to find out what Bill is really up to.

“I have been the keeper of Bill Cipher for the past thousand years as he underwent treatment at a facility called The Theraprism. While he has made progress, there has been…less than preferred. But, he thinks highly of you, I can tell. Perhaps you are the only entity he has ever felt respect towards- love towards. I am stripping him of a majority of his powers, bestowing him with a human form, and sending him to you for rehabilitation. If anyone can get through to him, it is you, Stanford Pines.”
In which The Pines are given the responsibility of rehabilitating a demon who does not want to be redeemed and the past has never seemed so close to the present and the poison has never tasted so sweet.

Summary
The deal? Bill gets to live out a specific amount of time only known to the Axolotl (described as the time needed for him to be ready for rehabilitation, which good luck with that because he is living forever in that case) as a fleshy semi-human. Sounds pretty good so far. He gets some basic powers like fire, healing, levitation, ect.
And in exchange he has to be Stanford Pines' Personal Guardian "Angel".
It would have been a particularly cruel joke if the Axolotl hadn't looked so serious with its adorable puppy dog-esque mouth. Strange paw-hand pushed up near its approximation of a temple in a grimace while it waited for Bill to stop laughing.
"This is your last chance, Bill. I'll give you time to think about it." And then it was gone.

After his own set of trials and tribulations to learn how to be human, he becomes a librarian at the Gravity Falls library. After 3 years of expertly dodging the Pines family, he’s discovered. What happens when you put a triangle in the trunk of a car? Who could say really.
