Agatha cleared her throat, cutting Rio off. The look on Rio’s face made it obvious that she knew she had gotten a reaction, and Agatha hated it.

“Carl isn’t Señor Scratchy anymore,” Jen corrects her, sipping her drink. “He didn’t like the new costume. Said it was too soft for his alpha male image,” she adds, rolling her eyes.
“And who’s behind it now?” Rio asks, curiosity starting to take over.
“Oh, there’s a whole mystery about his new identity. Nobody knows who’s behind that mask,” Alice says, her voice slightly slurred from the alcohol.
“Nobody?” Rio asks, her expression skeptical. “That’s impossible.”
“I don’t know who’s behind it, but whoever they are, they’re definitely making the furry rate go up,” Jen says, making Rio and Alice chuckle.

Summary

“Protect me? Up until today I’ve never had shots fired in my direction so it seems like you’ve done the exact opposite of protecting me.” Agatha fired back.
They were in another room now. Rio was crouched down, entering the code to unlock a massive safe. Rio looked back up at her and grabbed Agatha’s hand to pull her down to the ground with her.
