he wasn’t soft or touchy. He was rough around the edges, almost as rough on the inside. He was loud and abrupt.
But he wanted the most- fluffy, immature thing.
He wanted Phil to cut his sandwiches into triangles, and he wanted stupid notes that said stupid things like ‘I’m proud of you’ or, ‘Have an amazing day’. Kid’s got those in year three or four, when they were learning to read and their parents weren't bored of their kids, but Tommy never got that.

Sensing someone hadn’t been sleeping was uncomfortable at first. It could be like an itch he couldn’t scratch or a shiver that ran down his spine, but the longer it went on, the more painful it would become.
He didn’t know this until recently because he never let it get that bad. It started a few days ago; He felt the shiver the first day and questioned everyone in the house. All of them said they were 'sleeping just fine, Wil!' And 'stop being a mother hen.' Wilbur, naturally, didn't believe them.
