“I’ll say let’s have our lady speak first,” he murmured, scratching his beard. Lady whined louder, and he brushed her away. “Not you, ya dozy dog. I say C’ptain Avery certainly has a song in her.”
“Not a song, Longfellow,” She rinses her lips with her tankard. “But I do have a story, if all are agreeable to hear it.”
