Summary
Mari-centric fic focusing on the 14 years between the end of the second rebuild and the beginning of the third movie. I did choose some elements of the original series I liked and included them here (ex all evas have souls, ritsuko kaji characterization especially) but the overall plot is movie based. there are some sexual elements, but I feel like overall it's pretty tonally on point for NGE.
When they ask her what color she wants her new plugsuit, she says pink. Maybe it’s the red of Knowing Asuka mixed with the white of Knowing God. Maybe it’s the red of the Doors of Guf mixed with the white of the Death she’s crossed to get there. Maybe she just misses the cherry blossoms.
