If foggy asked him to swear to it on the stand, Brett would say he honestly thought it might have been a stray cat, but his instincts were telling him something more, so he wanted to check it out. He would say he thought someone could have been mugged, or it could be an addict that needed medical assistance. Clint was raised by a father who hated everything but alcohol but he hated his sub son the most, raised him as a dom. When his parents died he assumed it would get better but it didnt, Barney kept Clint from showing any small signs of submission. Then the circus happened, and that had been the worst of all, the things they did to subs when they got their hands on them. Clint forced it all down and away, he didn't give in at all. So when he was brought into S.H.I.E.L.D no one quite knew what to do with the sub who's been living as a dom his whole life.
