Started out as pirate smut, turned into a sprawling epic about gender identity, healthy relationships, found family, trauma resolution and anti-colonialism (and pirate porn, so much pirate porn.)
One third backstory, one third plot, one third pirates fucking through a wide variety of kinks, and 100% pure fluff between them.

Summary
When burying her father one snowy night, a dark encounter makes Vera victim to a vampiric entity who is, himself, starting a road toward redemption and self-acceptance. Against her will, she is taken away from her old life, and he becomes to her a Teacher. Over time, he gives to her in exchange for her cooperation, harrowing and heartbreaking stories about his long life wherein he has consequently lived as many people. During this time he has been periodically overcome with beastly, hopelessness and misanthropic fury, and at other times finds he is overflowing with kindness and sorrowful, tender-hearted empathy for the human condition.
As he makes the choice every day that he must make, which is to keep living even though it feels to him to be a state darker and lonelier than death, Vera's own questions and considerations about mortality and what it is to find meaning in an unwilling state of existence grow and transform.

Post unmaking and remaking. Dream has been oblivious to the needs of his creation, and Corinthian voices his longing, loneliness, and misery for the first time. It becomes a healing time for both of them. Include a very intense scene that isn't /just/ sex, though it very much resembles sex haha. I'm not sure how I feel about sharing my erotic writing in public but since it is anonymous, I will give it a go. Might take down in future, idk.
