“Hm? Ah. I forgot to warn you, Shishou’s energy is kind of… weird.” Shigeo said, voice contemplative. “It’s part of why I believed him when he said he was an esper, when I was a kid.”
“And we’re, uh, sure that he’s not an esper?” Serizawa checked, even while it made him feel a little silly to question it.
“He couldn’t see spirits or curses at all before I had him borrow my powers at the 7th division base.” Mob recounted “And he told me himself that he’s not an esper. He didn’t even believe ghosts and espers were real until I showed him my powers the day we met.”
Serizawa turned to look at Shigeo, seeing the vaguely conflicted expression on the teen’s face, and the way he shrugged in apparent defeat.OR: 5 times Reigen used his empath powers without knowing he was an esper, and the time Serizawa finally told him.

"She keeps her eyes shut tight. She doesn’t know why she said that, doesn’t know why she started with that, and while she’s had her suspicions about Reigen, she has no idea how he’ll take this. Or, for the matter, how Serizawa will take this. Will they fire her? Will this paradise from ordinary life be taken from her? God, this was a mistake. Tears threaten to fall again, but she forces them down and finally opens her eyes.
The look on Reigen’s face isn’t something she’s used to. It’s… sorrowful, but happy, something bittersweet in his encouraging smile, something melancholy in his eyes. She opens her mouth to speak, stops, but Reigen nods as if to say, ‘it’s okay.’"

Serizawa didn’t know how he recognized the woman before him - he couldn’t place a name, yet something in the way she walked, talked, the shape of her mouth, was unmistakeably familiar.
Serizawa offered his canned greeting to the visitor.
“Hello, and welcome to Spirits and Such! We are happy to have you with us today, please step this way -“ Serizawa motioned toward the rest of the office, his eyes landing on Reigen, who instead of launching into his normal welcoming spiel, was frozen in his seat. He did not say a word.
