Summary
For many a century, the Dark dimension’s disorderly energies were a subject of scorn from the other dimensions, given its people’s apparent need to spontaneously invade other worlds simply for the benefit of shedding blood, leaving thousands of souls lost or consumed in their wake. That was, until a particular being tamed the volcanic land and united it under a single ruler, where none dared oppose the one known as Dormammu, lest they be struck down by the hands of the mighty warrior himself. While Dormammu carried the appearance of a demonic body, he approached the other rulers of the dimensions with a sense of respect unlike any other, wisely crafting and proposing a deal. The agreement consisted of two main ideas: One, that Dormammu would harness the destructive nature of his people and transform the realm into a place worthy of peaceful interaction with the other dimensions, without outside interference from the other rulers. And two, that the other dimensions would supply one willing sacrifice every one hundred years, as a means to garner trust that their former-citizens would not be harmed by the people of the Dark dimension.

Dean Winchester didn't ask for this. Sure, he tries to use his alpha privilege (and hefty bank account balance) to do some good in the world. He works with Bobby, Ellen, and Jody at The Roadhouse, a centre for rescued omegas, but even there, he stays behind the scenes. He pays the bills and helps maintain the property, but other than that, he tries to keep his fingers out of any pies that aren't intended for his cakehole.
That is, until one day when Charlie informs him of one of the worst abuse cases they've ever seen, and tells him that they need to act now if they want to save the guy's life.
Dean's got no problem approving the intake, but then Charlie drops the other shoe like it's hot: The Roadhouse is at capacity and there's simply nowhere for the poor omega to go, but word on the street is that Dean's got a empty guest room, and wasn't he just saying that the house was too quiet since Sam moved out, anyway?
