Wilhelm traces her little features with a sense of awe. The closed eyes, her flushed cheeks, and impossibly tiny nose and mouth. It’s hard to completely determine facial characteristics just now, but she looks like Simon, she has his hair and his nose and he loves every single thing about her.
The baby in his arms has made a soft, cooing sound as her eyes flicker, brows knotting up and tiny mouth pursing as her dark eyes open slowly. She blinks and stares and they lean closer, watching in anticipation as she looks around before coming back to focus on them.
_______It’s two thirty-eight in the early morning when Ronja Daniela Eriksson is born at Mount Sinai Hospital on the Upper East Side.
