“An excellent observation, Potter.” He says dryly. “May I continue on the way to my job there? I am supposed to be on the clock right now; I was already running late…”
“I started looking into it.” Harry says quickly, “If I had known you worked for the Ministry when we talked before, I would have asked for your help. As is, we could use an ongoing informant.”
“I’m a researcher, Potter. Not law enforcement. I did my part; do yours.”

“Unless you want to go back in time; I’ve given all the help I can give.” Draco cuts across him, opening the stairway door.
“Wait-” Harry says, blinking quickly as he watches Draco disappear down the stairs. “Is that an actual option?”

this is like, two thousand times better than canon.
canon was so boring compared to this. so many characters and their potentionals completely wasted to lazy writing. also just fuck that transphobic bitch.

the world building, to all those tiny details of the characters, or how they act, gog, as i said - this is so much better than that which was once a canon, which is not anymore, as this is the new canon, ehehehuduhdhdu
seriously, love the story
(i also always wanted the canon story where Draco was just there with Harry, Hermione and Ron. It would be so much more interesting and given much more depth to the story, having Draco become friends with the three of them (and hes like the dark but has light in him, and harry is the light who has evil bastard inside) but still being Malfoy and son of a death eater, and I can't wait for Half-blood prince to happen in this story! because Draco being dragged to the bad guys™ side since he had no choice but wanting to be with Harry, but was given the task, terrified of being murdered, having his parents be murdered - so he distances himself from the people he loves most (Harry and pals™), who are his actual family, because he doesnt want Harry to also get hurt because of him - pushing the only good he ever had in his life, Draco's basically a constant mental breakdown.
AND then, Dumbledore's dead, and all Draco's friends, even Harry, now outted Draco, feel betrayed, hate him - and then the biggest difference, Draco would actually run away from Voldy, wanting to be with his true friends, wanting to help them, be where he felt happy and loved, his real family, but also knowing they might spite him, but he doesn't care, he's so helpless, he'd rather die knowing he tried to do the right thing and fulfilling that promise to them and himself, that he's actually a good person, who loves them, who was always dragged down by all those selfish bastards around him (his blood family).
And Harry and his friends then have hard time accepting him back, being like, how can we believe you? and giving Draco hell, but then they literally see that Draco has became a mental breakdown embodiment and that that boy's fried and completely cooked and that he's honest, they seen what a horrible shape he became since he was given the task, and now, Draco looks really horrible and is mentally so ducked, depressed, and so they slowly accept him back, realizing that he literally sacrificed everything, just to be with them, that he's honest, that he truly cares.
And that'd be very brave, considering Draco's been always portrayed like a coward and crybaby, him choosing that which mattered to him, even when he knew he's basically dead if he runs away.
And then they continue searching for the Voldy soul thingies, and Harry and Draco get pretty close, and then, it's the two of them, killing Voldy together. Draco trying to protect Harry, and Harry trying to protect Draco? Both getting hurt a lot? And it being ths pretty, poetic The one from the evil side crashing with the one from the good side who has true dark inside him? Against all odds?
a scene where Harry sacrifices himself for Draco, when Voldy tried to kill Draco for 'betraying' him? Draco having mental breakdown, holding dead Harry?
And Harry not being actually dead, and Draco and their friends are so happy, and then they krill Voldy? Ah. That would be such better canon. Draco, to me, was always such a wasted character, that had the potential of becoming Harry's friend, and choosing his side over Voldy's, and sacrificing everything he ever had, just to be with his true family, his friends.
Yeah, i'm just infodumping. who cares. nobody will ever see, ehehehehe)(Oh and yes. Draco is definitely trans even in canon and epiloques. Literally, Astoria unable to have kids, being sick? And them being platonic, he's wreck and she's angel who sees hes broken, but good, beautifuk person inside, who needs help, them having problematic relationship or whatever? Scorpius looking like carbon copy of Draco? The rumors that Scorpius isn't actually his, because, hah, he actually not being Astoria's, and people unable to wrap their head around boys who can become pregnant? Draco and Astoria apparently completely wanishing from the public whe she was pregnant (because it was actually Draco, and, OBVIOUSLY he won't want anyone to ever know?) Dude. (If JKR wasnt transphobic piece of waste (who tries to actively push for legislations, abusing her powers, to make lives of trans people an absolute hell? Take all rights from us? ) literally the whole canon alings with it being Draco who actually birthed Scorpius, and, Draco being trans. I think it's safe to say that's a canon now. Yes. All other opinions are invalid.
