“Isn’t he beautiful?”
Ivan swallowed. It felt like he was swallowing around razorblades, but still he forced himself to say, “I think anybody would be inclined to agree.”
It was the truth. The boy was beautiful.
“I’m glad you think so,” his owner turned to him and reached out, gently petting his hair. Ivan couldn’t take his eyes off the boy. Thankfully his master seemed to not take it as disrespect. “He’s yours.”
